Welcome to Nurture Counseling, PLLC

All About Jessica Valladares, MS, LPC, LMHC

I’m licensed to practice therapy in Washington and Texas.

I started Nurture Counseling because I care deeply about supporting people through life’s big changes, especially the ones that come with pregnancy, postpartum, and motherhood. Becoming a therapist wasn’t just something I studied in school. It comes from my own experiences navigating life’s messy and overwhelming seasons. I know what it’s like to feel stretched thin, uncertain, or just plain exhausted, and I wanted to create a space where people could feel seen, heard, and not judged.

I work with individuals and parents who are trying to find their footing while life feels like it is moving too fast. Whether you are expecting, adjusting to life after a baby, or just trying to keep all the pieces together, my goal is to help you find clarity and a little bit of ease along the way. Therapy does not have to be about doing everything perfectly. It is about showing up as you are and figuring out what helps you feel more like yourself again.

I work with individuals (age 18+). Some of the areas I focus on include:

  • Maternal mental health

  • Preconception, pregnancy, and postpartum mental health

  • Depression

  • Anxiety

  • OCD

  • Women’s issues

I also hold space for communities that often face extra challenges, including:

  • Women of color

  • LGBTQIA+ individuals

  • Sex workers

  • Single mothers

  • People navigating body image and self-acceptance

  • People invested in racial justice
